The Archdiocese of Cincinnati earlier this year told its parishes not to use the popular attractions for fear of incidents such as the one that happened Sunday in Middletown. An inflatable slide there came loose from its mooring, taking an 11-year-old boy with it as the device flew 40 feet in the air.
There were no injuries and the incident remains under investigation.
