Delta, American, and United Airlines are gonna dip into your pocket a little more if you’re flying the weekends after Thanksgiving or New Years.
They’re calling the mandatory additional $10 charge a “Holiday Fee.”
Time for me to rant…
I have had about enough of these extra charges. This might classify me as cheap but I personally carry on my luggage to avoid paying the rediculous baggage charges. I somewhat understood the charges back when fuel prices were MUCH higher but the price of oil has dropped considerably and the charges have remained. Now there’s this new “Holiday Fee.” Granted, it only applies if you fly on the selected weekends but why do these airlines feel the need to take more money but give nothing in return? No wonder it’s hard for Americans to save money.
Interestingly enough, Delta allowed me to check 2 bag for free when I flew to London. I guess you have to fly internationally to waive the baggage fees.
The road trip is back in style.
