Love food? Yeah me too

When I go to a different state – and especially another country I always try to taste the local cuisine.  In this case we sat down for lunch and my throat was hurting so I ordered some tea.  They bring sugar and creamer with your hot tea.  It reminded me of my trip to Europe with my parents when I was 13.  I went for afternoon tea with my Aunt Linda and fell in love with hot tea with sugar and creamer.  Happy memories!  I am a goober so I took a picture of it!

I also try to get to a store and pick up some candy that we might not have where I live.  (Plus candy is really easy to pack in a suitcase and get across borders!)  So when hubby and I went to Montreal for a day we had to stop at a grocery store and check out the candy isle.  Check out the goodies we picked up!

We also found this lil treasure at the grocery store.  There is a song by a band called the Barenaked Ladies. They are from Canada and they have a song called “If I Had a Million Dollars”.  In the song they say “we wouldn’t have to eat Kraft Dinner”.  Well I always thought they called Kraft mac n cheese that to be silly in the song.  Nope,  in Canada they call it Kraft Dinner – so we had to buy some! :)

On the way back to the good ole U S of A we stopped at the Duty Free shop and picked up more candy!

OH and a pic with this other candy I found at the grocery store….

The eggs are milk chocolate and they have lil toys inside. After I eat one I will take a pic of the toy and put it up for you

Here is the candy we bought in Vermont.  They have a schnazzy brand called Lake Champlain (those tiny candy bars cost $3.99 each) and then we found Dan’s Chocolates (they are mini bars too and were also $3.99 each).  Then there is the pure maple sugar candy that we found at the airport ($4.99!) and I am so glad I bought it because I forgot to pack our lil jug of maple syrup we bought in one of the big suitcases and it got confiscated at the security checkpoint.  Bye-bye $9.99 bottle….and they have to throw it away they can’t take it home or donate it to a homeless shelter.  So wasteful!  (and so stupid on my part!)

$30 bucks worth of candy sitting there. I will eat it s l o w l y !
