An 8-year-old in Massachusetts was sent home from school after he drew a crucifix. A Massachusetts man says his 8-year-old son was sent home from school and ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation after drawing a stick figure Jesus on a cross because the teacher thought it was too violent.
The second-grader made the drawing Dec. 2 after his teacher asked children to sketch something that reminded them of Christmas.
The father, Chester Johnson,said that the teacher became upset when his son supposedly said he drew himself on the cross. Johnson says school officials overreacted.
The boy was cleared to return to school after the evaluation.
Superintendent Julie Hackett said she could not discuss an individual student and the school followed protocol.

Is the teacher an idiot? Jesus’ crucifixition was violent, but it is a part of history. Did anyone consider that this family may attend a Catholic Church where the crucifix is part of the church? Has the teacher undergone a psychological evaluation? No 8 year old child should be made to endure that kind of humiliation because of a teacher’s stupidity.
NO KIDDING TEACHER! Talk about over reacting!
Teacher is really over reacting just be thankful that the child knows who jesus christ is. I am very proud of this child and his parents..
