Cincinnati is America’s craziest city!

Friday, March 12th, 2010

The Daily Beast decided to rank America’s craziest cities—more specifically, the 57 largest metropolitan areas—using four criteria: psychiatrists per capita, stress, eccentricity and drinking levels.

Las Vegas, New Orleans and New York all put in solid top ten showings. The least offbeat city should raise some eyebrows. And the one that falls furthest south of normal? Here’s a hint: it’s a bit north (and east) of Austin and better known for chili than crazy.

#1, Cincinnati

Psychiatrists per capita: 31 out of 57
Stress: 5 out of 57
Eccentricity: 12 out of 57
Drinking: 17 (tie) out of 57

Aren’t your proud?

“Celebrity Apprentice” to feature Luke Bryan

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

This season of “Celebrity Apprentice” won’t have any country stars as contestants as in year’s past (what’s up with that!?) but one episode in particular will feature a “Nashville-themed challenge with the celebrity teams determining what it takes to turn someone into a country music superstar.”  Ok, that’s kind of cool.

Luke Bryan was invited to be a part of the challenge and says “It was a little intimidating at first with so much happening around us so fast,” he says, “but I just tried to have fun with it all. I’m hoping that I do Nashville, country music and myself proud. I can’t wait to see how it turns out on TV.”

I don’t normally watch this show but I’ll give this episode a look when it airs.  We don’t know the air-date yet.

The new season starts this Sunday night on NBC.

Chad Ochocinco to host dating show

Man, how much time does Chad Ochocinco have exactly in the off season?  He’s doing “Dancing with the Stars” here in a few weeks and come July he’ll be hosting a new dating show on VH1.

Right now the show is being called “The Tournament,” and it will feature 85 women vying for Ochocinco’s heart via a bracket style dating tournament.  Interesting..

VH1 says ”The Tournament” stars with “Ocho Cinco finding his “first 85″ by traveling all over the country meeting women that may be interested in dating him. Then, during the first episode, he will narrow the playing field down to the sweet sixteen – four women from each of the four regions of the country – Northern, Western, Southern and Central Divisions. The sixteen chosen women will be invited to join Ocho Cinco for the rest of the tournament-style dating competition.

“Once the competition begins, Ocho Cinco will follow a tournament bracket where each of the ladies will have an opportunity to spend quality time with him while also facing off against one another in double-dates. The winner of each dating face-off will receive a game ball from Ocho Cinco and move on to the next round of the tournament, while the loser goes home. Ultimately the sweet sixteen will be narrowed down to eight and then the final four. In the end, the championship date between the two remaining women will result in Ocho Cinco awarding his chosen love the coveted Championship Ring. Hopefully, she turns out to be his greatest catch this season!
