Shelton Has Four CMA Nominations -- Including First Male Vocalist Nod

Blake Shelton is feeling the love from the Country Music Association. On Wednesday, when the second round of CMA Nominations were announced by Shelton's fiance Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley on ABC's "Good Morning America," Blake received his first CMA Male Vocalist of the Year nomination. He was also recognized with Trace Adkins for Musical Event of the Year for "Hillbilly Bone." On Tuesday, when the first round of CMA nominations were announced, Blake and Adkins' chart-topping hit was nominated for Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year. That gives Blake four chances to win. He notes, quote, "After ten years of being in this business I finally began to tell myself that nominations don't matter anyway...turns out that's bull crap...Daddy likey!!!! Thanks to all!" The 44th annual CMA Awards will be presented in a ceremony on Nashville and air on ABC November 12th.
