Rosanne Cash Still Hopeful In Recovery Of Stolen Guitar - Three Decades Later

(Undated) -- More than 30 years after its disappearance, Rosanne Cash still has hopes that a vintage guitar given to her by her father, late country great Johnny Cash, will show up again. The singer says there should be no question about the true ownership of the guitar, recalling a personalized inscription on the instrument, made by her dad.

Rosanne says the last time she saw the guitar she had checked it curbside at Los Angeles International Airport in April 1979. It never showed up on the conveyor belt when she arrived at her destination. Still, after all these years, Rosanne says she has never allowed herself to get heartbroken over the guitar's theft, because she's optimistic that she will someday have it in her possession again. Rosanne Cash talks about her missing guitar and other annotations from her life and musical career in her new memoir "Composed," in stores now. Cash is currently on a book tour in support of the memoir. Her next stop on the tour is scheduled for this Friday, September 10th at the Americana Music Festival and Conference in Nashville.
